Stray dogs and cats may experience poor welfare; scavenging for food, competing for limited resources and lack of veterinary care result in malnutrition, injury and disease. Furthermore, stray animals pose a significant threat to human health by acting as vectors of disease. So there are people who soil and mistreat the animals. But the origin of those precarious beings are the humans themselves. Stray animals are like living and moving garbage made by ourselves, which we can’t just clear up or burn like nothing happened.
