Catania is a Sicilian city on the east coast facing the Ionian Sea, between Messina and Syracuse. It is the capital of the homonymous province, and is the second-largest city of the island at the foot of the stratovolcano Etna. Catania is known for its seismic history, having been destroyed by several catastrophic earthquakes.
For me Sicily evokes many memories, which are throughout positive; Whether it’s the summertrip with my buddies, which remains unforgetable with all these unbelievable intensive impressions we got together or later the photo trip as an assistant, where I worked indeed, but with wonderful and authentic people only.
This series was realized during my last trip to Sicily.
